Montana Motto Platanus. Montana's spanish oro y plata was conceived as the montanans were deciding. The state motto of montana is ‘oro y plata’ which is spanish for ‘gold and silver’, metals which were discovered in the mountains of montana back in the 1800s.
Adopted on february 9, 1865. Montana’s motto is “montana, the treasure state”.
